The purpose of this letter is to provide a recommendation for Dick Otke Construction Company.
The Dick Otke Construction Company (DOCC) was the general contractor for our Expansion. That Expansion was started October, 2002 and completed in August of 2003. The Expansion was budgeted for $2M and approved by the membership in June of 2002.
The net results were that the Project came in on budget and within the planned time frame. Dick Otke and his company were the main reason this was accomplished.
Another important element was how this Project was managed. After Architects Alliance Inc. had developed the general plans for the Expansion, several contractors were interviewed. The goal was to select a contractor based on their commercial building history, cost plus methodology and willingness to work as a partner with both the Country Club and the Architects. DOCC was selected as that contractor.
Dick Otke and his staff worked very well with me, the Country Club’s Project manager. DOCC worked effectively with the many subs required, therefore making DOCC my only contact. DOCC had the flexibility to work with the Project as unplanned problems may arise. In summary, they completed an excellent Expansion for the Jefferson City Country Club.

I am a retired Facility Leasing Coordinator for the State of Missouri. In that position we came into contact with many contractors across the state. One of the very best was Dick Otke Construction. Their quality of workmanship, honesty and integrity stood out above the average contractor.
As a result of that experience we selected Dick Otke Construction as a partner for construction of the River City Habitat for Humanity complex at 1420 Creek Trail Drive in Jefferson City, MO. The complex houses the affiliate offices, conference room and habitat Re-store in a 12000 square foot and 7000 square foot facility.
